Day 3: Port Augusta, SA

Day 2: after an uneventful nights sleep (except for me, too wound up to sleep properly), we had breakfast and got back on the Mitchell Hwy, headed to Broken Hill. The countryside changed amazingly as we left rural NSW and got further into the Outback. Green trees and grass were replaced by ploughed and wheat stubbled fields. Day 1: So we made it to Dubbo. Everyone's alive, fed and now bedded! We enjoyed our first lunch at a roadside rest area...no toilets, which isn't a hassle if you're male?! A nice BBQ dinner at a small affordable caravan park, allowing us to settle in to the rhythms of traveling with caravan. All is quiet down the child friendly end of the van...has been an exciting and emotional day. F x
