Day 45: Today is R&R and planning day.
We say good bye to Anne and Bruce, and with the boys off hunting lizards, Craig and I have a coffee at the cafe in the CP. It's a nice time of relaxing and planning the next few days...plus organising a service for the car.
We like these days, particularly if the boys are entertained (turns out they found the guest lounge with the TV), and we all have the opportunity just to chill out and not have to drive somewhere or be somewhere or walk somewhere.
In the afternoon, the boys get a haircut. How's this for funny: we are in the Top End. You sit in a chair literally in the bush. And you get your hair cut by a New Caledonian, who is married to a chef from the Gold Coast. Bizarre. But for $10 each, it's a bargain and the boys look a lot more respectable. And cooler (as in no sweat dripping down their face from their mop heads).
Later we are playing table tennis and a lady introduces her son to the boys, and finally they have a friend. Haven't had a friend since Uluru...so they're all happy.
Of course this means we don't see the boys till dark, but energy is burnt and social needs are met.
However, we are caught between two camper trailers that have the TV blaring from 6pm till 10 and smoke. Not happy Jan! After no TV for 6+ weeks, it's like an invasion of privacy and an affront to our sensibilities!
We are praying they are heading to Broome sooner than later...
