Today is exam day. I can safely say that I have done no revision at all for the exam, from what I have seen it is all pretty much common sense, with only a little bit of technical stuff. So the exam is not really under strict exam conditions, I mean we are all sitting round a table just doing the exam. Not to difficult and Jeff and myself have it completed in about 10mins, it is all multiple choice. We then check that we have the same answers and tell James. He marks the 2 that we had wrong and we change them. That's it, the exam is completed, it takes the rest of the group such a long time that I am not sure what they are doing.

We then have a break for a few hours before we are scheduled to head out on the boat. On the boat with all the gear and we get right to setting everything up. Feeling like a pro at this after such a short time and we are all geared up in no time and Jeff and I make light work of our buddy checks and then in to the sea we go, by the giant stride method. The first site that we are at has great clear water and James decides that we are not going to do any skills and just get straight in to the dive. Great! A 40min dive, just following James in our buddy groups. More amazing sights in the underwater world and because we are moving so slowly it all seems even more majestic. We get out after this and then move to a new dive site before plunging in to the deep once again. This time we are to be doing some skills, same as before and followed by some compass navigation. The second sight is not a clear as the first, but we get to work on our buoyancy control as we are diving, so it is all good practice. Again it is all over too quickly and we are back on the boat heading to Ko Tao.

Gear washed and then we are free, so I take a look at my visa and see how long I have left. Unfortunately it is a lot less than I thought and so it pretty much rules out doing the advanced course. In fact I am ideally going to have to leave tomorrow after my diving, so I head to the travel agents to see what my options are. Im looking to go south and so I just pick somewhere on the map, hopefully no one else will have heard of it and so less white people for me. I get a boat and bus combo sorted out, expensive enough, but then getting off islands always is, leaves tomorrow night at 9.

I get something to eat before heading back to my room to pack my bag as we are up at 7.15 tomorrow for the last dives and I have to be out of my room before. I have made quite a mess in this room since I have arrived which is unusual for me, so pretty much have to get all of my clothes back in to my bag, then sleep.
