My intentions to get up early went out the window after last night, but I am still leaving today because Thaipusam is being held tomorrow in Kuala Lumpur and so I want to see that. It is a Hindu festival where all manner of strange things happen, from self mutilation, to the carrying of large offerings to the deity, that and 257 steps up to the cave. I can't wait. Another day of rest and relaxation for me. Though by lunch time I do decide to leave the hostel and take a walk around the town, and i'm glad that I did.
