So up this morning and got my gear packed as it is time to move out. Nice late check out time of 12 so I got a good few hours sleep, help me recover from the past couple of days. Feet are still pretty sore today, though nothing compare with yesterday's excruciation! Wearing my trainers as they are pretty cushioned, I also have both feet bandaged up to give extra protection. I've got about 3 hours travel ahead of me today, with plenty of changes, and as I'm out of central Tokyo my train maps are useless. Back to winging it!

Got on the Fujikyu line and I was in for a treat. Awesome views. The female conductor also offered to take a photo of me while I was on the train too, which was a nice touch. One of the nicest trains I've even been on, wooden floor and everything. A very scenic route, takes about 45mins, I didn't see it going in as I was enjoying the views.

Get to my place and check in to my 7 bed dorm, I see clothes for two other people so not too bad. I head downstairs for some free coffee and to charge my stuff. Its great to get my shoes off and rest my feet, I reckon a couple of days and I reckon a couple of days and I should be good for the ascent. When I leave for dinner it's already dark, and a lovely 23c so walking is a pleasure, in fact a cool breeze is about. In the distance I can see lights leading up the route to Mt Fuji, looks like the lights on the slopes in Avoriaz. I found it quite difficult to find somewhere to eat and have to walk quite a distance. Quite the difference from central Tokyo. I walk in to this tiny wee place, no pictures but the woman knows a little English, I opt for something with grilled chicken. I get my customary hairy cold peas in pod for starter, bit of soy sauce and these are good, especially with a beer to accompany. Maybe I should eat these in real life instead of crisps, a healthier option and the soy gives me my required savoury hit. That meal was the best meal I've had. Salty spicy chicken skin, ohh god, brilliant. Just what I needed. Then the trek back to the hostel, to chill out before bed. No sweating either. Complete result.
