Up again and over to Molly's. It's expensive, but it's nice to have a relatively normal breakfast. I get to some blogging, there is not really too much to do here during the day. The town is dead because everyone is away to the temples. The one day was enough for me, I think I would grow tired of it if I went for the 3 days. The town only really comes to life in the evening, where there is an aptly named pub street. I haven't been yet, maybe give that a go tonight.

Another lunch and swim combo with Lily. I decide this time to bring my goggles and do a few lengths instead of my usual muck around. The have the chlorine turned up to 11 in these pools, one opening of my eyes rendered me blind and suffering pink eye, goggles are the only solution. 3 of Lily's Chinese friends arrived in the hotel today and so I got to meet them. One of the girls, Helen, doesn't know how to swim and I'm not sure how it came about, but I end up teaching her. This wasn't a problem although it did mean surrendering my goggles for the beginner. No lengths for me. After the swim we all head out for dinner, Lily had asked me earlier if I minded us all going out together, I said of course not, as long as the conversation isn't all Chinese! She assured me that this would not be the case, the reality, however, was that this was entirely the case! So I'm sitting there like a 5 star pleb while 4 Chinese people are blabbing away. At least I have BBC news to keep me entertained. After dinner two of the friends head home and Helen, Lily and I head out to pub street. Helen decided that she was going to keep up with me as I drank, because she could. Ha. It didn't end well for her, eventually being sick when she got home, as is the Chinese way. During the night you have a lot of kids around the pubs trying to sell the usual bits and bobs. Although at one point 3 kids start dancing to the music that is blaring out of the pub. Gunnam Style comes on and these kids are giving it large, and they were good, that was the best of it. When they had finished I went down and gave them a dollar each, I told them I didn't want anything but the three of them jump on me giving me one thing from each of their baskets. This is definitely a better way to make some money rather than just walking round tables. By the end of the night I am well on my way and so say goodbye to Lily and Helen, who is still proclaiming that she is not drunk, even given her difficulty walking. I'm not going to feel fresh tomorrow, a quick glance at the watch shows 4am.
