I am up early and I take myself round the corner from my hostel where I noticed they do Vietnamese coffee. For one it is reasonably priced and so I grab a cup. Not as good as in Vietnam, but better than anything I have been having of late. I phone the parents, after hearing some sad news about my granny passing away yesterday, as usual the connection is so so, but I manage to talk for a short while. After this I head in to town and park myself in Molly Malone's, due to there being a power supply and decent wifi. I opt for some scrambled eggs and toast for breakfast while I get to transfer some photos. I want to write a short eulogy for my granny and send it over to my dad to read at the funeral. Writing it was very difficult, I was feeling alone and quite upset. It took me about an hour to put together something that I was happy with. I am pleased that my voice will be heard given my absence.

Lily meets me for lunch and we toy with the idea of renting a bike and going for a cycle round the town. After some careful consideration we decide that it is too hot for such vigorous activity and so instead decide that an afternoon in the pool is a much better way to spend the time. Lily has moved hotels as she thought the last one was too expensive. Ha! Not that this one is much cheaper, way out of my budget, luckily for me I get the use of the pool without the cost of a room, lucky me. After the swim I collapse and fall asleep for an hour, well needed, though I'm not sure why I am so tired.

We grab something to eat and then head back to the night market. Tonight's the night! I'm going to buy me some headphones. We spend all night moving back and forward between the stalls, trading the prices off against one and other. Eventually I strike a deal. I had brought along my iPod so that I could do extensive testing using my music for a true comparison. Got me some top of the range fakes! Nice. I retire home with my purchase.
