Hi Folks!Well we spent a few days doing not very much and on the Monday I went and had my hair done as an early Christmas pressie from Craig, I had it all cut and got it toned and highlighted, it was very nice to finally have a haircut lol! The next day we were up early and off to the airport to meet Kirsty and Andy, it was an emotionally reunion with some tears and it was so nice to see people from home! We took all our bags to our hotel and went out for a glass of wine and a sandwich. It was so nice to have a hotel for a wee while, we had our own wee kitchen and everything as well which was good for eating in. Kirsty slept the whole day so we stayed in and watched films. The next day we were up and out to see Sydney but we ended up about a hundred yards along the road under a tree eating a hot dog in the chucking down rain and then bought three boxes of goon which is basically cheap wine (5 litres for about £6) and went back to our room. We went out for an Indian for dinner and I got the hottest curry and the waiter laughed when I asked for it and he wasn't wrong as after I felt like I was dying!!The next day we just pottered about and then got ready for our night out at the Stevie Wonder concert. We got the taxi to Acer Arene which was meant to be $15 but was $55. I don't know who ever said it was cheap here cos its so not. The concert was amazing, his daughter brought him out s she is a backing singer an we sang loads of songs and was really good and funny. He was talking about how he used to try an hit his kids with his stick when they were younger and they would shout "Dad, you missed me"! He was really cool and very talented. I was smiling like an idiot and almost greeting throughout most of it, I always wanted to see him and couldn't believe my fortune when we found out he was playing here, it was really amazing! We got a free train ride home too and walked back to the hotel. The next day we were up early as the weather was finally better and we took a walk through the Botanic Gardens down to the harbour bride and opera house. It was really nice and pretty down by the water front and was funny when Kirsty asked "Is there a snake on me?" lol, what a lassie!! We got some nice photos an had a look about then walked up though the centre of Sydney again and had some lunch and out our postcards before heading back to the hotel and sorting Kirsty and Andy out with their tickets for the trip up to Brisbane. The next day we checked out of the hotel and went up the road to the hostel we had booked which had great reviews and the doorway smelt of pee and the smell continued all the way down the stairs and in the end throughout the hostel. The room had stains on the mattress and although we now had a Glade plug in air freshener courtesy of Madam K it wasn't making much difference and also the light in the bathroom were not working. We weree in it about 5 minutes before Madam was retching and saying we couldn't possibly stay there so we had a look about but being Saturday everywhere remotely affordable was full so Kirsty has paid for us to stay back at Billabong Gardens in Newtown which is much better, they had one room left when I called so I booked it as Craig and I loved it before. We ha a nice walk around Newtown and it is really nice very chic and cosmopolitan and the gay central. At night Kirsty and I got ready and went out to meet James that I woke with in the hotel who works here. It was nice to see him again, we had a few drinks in a few bars and met a guy mark who was supposedly Italian and went to a club which was pretty good. Kirsty and I were away with it and when we goot back and knocked on the window Craig didn't wake up and we were banging for ages and I broke the window and Kirsty got a row for shouting, we eventually got in and it turned out Craig had drank practically a whole box of goon hence the deep sleep. The next morning we were up and had to move rooms as there was no room available for three nights. It was a trial and look two trips but we got a lovely room again. We got ourselves ready and headed out for a massive fry up and then got ourselves ready for the Neighbours afternoon. We got the bus into town and the bar where it was meant to be held was closed and there was no people or sign of anything happening so we waited on Andy and then decided to have a wee walk about and just had a meal and then went back to the room as we were all done in. Today we got up and went for a breakfast again when we could actually enjoy it and then we all went to the park as it was roasting but it was too hot and flies were out in force so we went back and had a wee dip in the hostel pool which was more like a pond but really nice and freezing cold! At night we made stir fry and custard with posh cakes from the bakery, we are good to ourselves! Tonight we have just spent the night packing up and sorting out the photos. Tomorrow we start our trip up the coast with Kirsty and Andy as they are coming as far as Brisbane so we are off to Surf Camp torrow, cant wait!!Hope all is well at home. Happy Birthday Andy!!Lots of Love Eva and Craig xxx
