Today was all about the keukenhof gardens. While the day started a bit gray, it turned into a beautiful sunny day and ever you had the same idea as us - go to the gardens!! Rather than a tour we walked to the train station, took a train to Schipol airport, then took a bus to the Keukenhof! We walked around all day and it was beautiful. But it was also very crowded. At one point, I almost felt claustrophobic. But the tulips were beautiful and it was well worth the travel to see the gardens once again. And Joey seem to enjoy it too! He said he took 100 pictures. While we were in the Gardens, we got hungry, since it was past lunchtime. We stopped in a restaurant there, but everything was either herring or fried. It was a difficult choice, but I chose fried. We returned it to Amsterdam around 4 PM, and since we were at central station, there was a glass frames store that I wanted to check out, so we walked past many shops where I saw the Mickey mouse in the window. Lakelly I did not find any new frames to purchase – beautiful, but did not fit my face. And on the way back to the tram, we saw the canal and beautiful row houses and I was able to snap the picture of Joey. By the time we returned it to the hotel, we were both exhausted. Luckily we returned in time for happy hour at the hotel, where we snacked for dinner, watched a touch of TV, and passed out.
