Oh our aching legs! Didn't get up until mid-morning. Missed breakfast, so lunch a nearby McDonalds before heading into Paris to the Eiffel Tower. Fluked a car-park close by and the ticket queue was tiny.....what luck (or so we thought). Quickly up to the second level, but the wait for the lift to the top was so long, Ian had to return to the car to top-up the meter to prevent it being towed. Sally & Tom waited another 45 minutes before getting to the very top, which was very crowded. Bravely, they walked down from the second level and took a photo of Ian down in the park, from level 1. By now it was 6pm so decided to call it quits for the day. A long stop-start drive back through central Paris to witness the lunacy of French drivers and, in particular, scooter riders and motorcyclists!

Had a very nice dinner at an Italian restaurant near to where we are staying.
