Oi!

We have made it out the hectic city of Salvador to a quaint village known as Lençois. Arrived 5am this morning via the night bus (no screaming babies this time!) Greeted by a hoard of villagers offering accommodation/tours in our sleep induced state. Bleary eyed we accepted an offer of viewing various pousada´s (hotel). Accepted first viewing as it had a relaxing energy which we so desperately needed after spending 2 weeks in busy cities. (Not that the Dan Brown book left on the coffee table swayed our decision!!) our room came with an ensuite bathroom, balcony with a hammock, big buffet breakfast situated on a terrace that overlooks the surrounding forest...complete luxury compared to what we´ve been used to in other hostels.

Lençois is a tranquil place with lots of streams and waterfalls. A sleepy village with cobbled roads, quaint stores and friendly locals. Considering going on a few treks but today we will be taking it easy and finding our bearings.
