Bolivia! Our fourth country in 3 months!! La Paz is the capital where we placed our worn feet for a few days. Arriving to the chaos of carnival in full swing with water bombings and foam sprays. People were dressed in rain macks knowing the potential outcome of bombings in a cold climate!! La Paz is the highest capital city in the world at 3360m. Breathing was terribly difficult at times due to the low oxygen levels so our pace of travel was extremely slow! La Paz is a maze of streets, maps left us fearful, but we quickly found that walking downwards led us to the main central area so it was impossible to get lost!We visited the witches market, the black market, several museums and artesaneas. Due to the dreary cold weather we inhabited many coffee shops and eateries, where upon we met a very interesting guy named Ron from the United States of America. La Paz didn’t really leave any great impression, a large city, very busy, dirty, noisy, unclean and cold. We quickly decided to journey further north in anticipation of sunshine and tranquility.
