The town of Surat Thani is pretty tiny, but it has a certain charm. A couple restraunts opened really early to accomadate the travellers coming in , as we did, at 4:30 in the morning. We only had to wait till 6am for the bus, and it was a wicked bus, i think we payed $9 for an hour and half bus ride. It was so nice becasue we got to see a completly different sight then the city. The art of travelling: Firstly, it all depends on the people you are with. As long as some one is good with money and somone else is sensible..you migth not die. We left our hostel today and decided to stop being babies, and eat the stall food, being sold on the side of the road. So Our first full day in Bangkok started out slow. We all woke up before the sun, and ended up heading towards the skytrain. There was a pastry shop on the way so we grabbed some water and all shared a baguette. It's pretty warm here, id say at least 30 degrees. So we took the train into teh heart of downtown bangkok and i guess we looked like we were lost, becasue we really wern't sure where to go or how to get to the places we wanted to...
