The town of Surat Thani is pretty tiny, but it has a certain charm. A couple restraunts opened really early to accomadate the travellers coming in , as we did, at 4:30 in the morning. We only had to wait till 6am for the bus, and it was a wicked bus, i think we payed $9 for an hour and half bus ride. It was so nice becasue we got to see a completly different sight then the city. The countryside is beautiful, full of jungle patches and heaven mountains just jutting out of no where. The coastline we can see in teh distance is just a single line of beach surrounded by pale blue waters, so of course, with all this great stuff around me, i fall asleep. Adn tehn the ferry comes, asnd i fall asleep again.

Welcome to Ko Phengan (Ko pen hyen). The middle of three large islands, and thougha tourist frenzie does appear to be it's nature...you can't help but not care becasue you get to sleep in a hut and swim whenever you want. We are going to be here for five days and then move on to the next island Koh Sumui (Koh Sum Oye). As soon as we get off teh ferrry a mllion people approach us tryingt o sell us a taxi ride. man if these people knew who we are..WE ARE the cheapest people on earth...so what do we decide to do..but wlak to our resort with our bags. luckly it only happened to be a km, and though we are all probably now in need of major rest, it was worth is to save the money! We have hammocks on our porches and the beach is 15 metres away. it's awesome, what else can i say. We met four girls from courtnay (Vancouver Island) who are staying next to us..woot. Ate lunch..the food is always good. There are cute little baby puppies wandering aroudn that belong to the owner. Ashley and i wandered into town while the guys passed out in their cabin.

Tonight is the black moon beach party, so the four of us after dinner decided to walk down the beach and try to find it. We never found teh party, but we got to see a guy night fishing and playing with a blowfish he had found..just poking at it..they're funny to look at..all skinney then ooop...fat face!! hah. The stars are different here..but some are familiar, i'm almost burnt, so tomorrow i will try to stay out of the sun..maybe i'll have a tan when i get back. Cant..keep my ...eyes open anymore..snnnoooorre.

P/s I'm illiterate..and it's not going to get better..
