Ive been here a week now, im beginning to settle into the way of life here. Its very chilled out and relaxed. I got the job in Starbucks, although i havent heard from them since about training, so im still at the french restaurant plodding along. its very quiet at the moment...approx 15 people a night!!!!
ive been staying in a hostel on the edge of town for the last 3 nights, its been really good fun, its just li,ke staying in someones house, alot of the people are longterm stayers, although everyone has been asked to move out in the next few days to allow more room for short term. it has meant that ive had to move on again to another hostel called the hippo lodge. its very cute but up the biggest steepest hill like EVER!! i nearly died first time i walked up just to book a room. when i had to carry all my bags up this morning i think i died, having recovered it was an easy walk down the hill back into town. ive looked at some houses with rooms to rent. have seen a couple that are medium priced and am thinking i will now move into a place that is on the edge of the town. its quite a walk (30mins+) but ive found a bike for $100 (apprix 35 pounds) which isnt too bad price. its got goreous views and id finally have a room of my own and an ENSUITE!!!
not alot of much else going on, the weather has been pretty ruccish the last couple days probably not as bad a the uk but weve had lots of rain and cloud, hopefully it will brighten up for xmas week.
lovely to speak to all the family yesterday, merry christmas to you guys. speak again soon xxxxxx
