Holyrood Palace - the Queens summer house. I know, somebody let the Queen know she has a stalker. But i am now thinking, home palace, summer palace, her boat - maybe i will have to complete the set and go to Windsor castle at some stage too.

So Holyrood holds up one end of the street known as the Royal Mile the castle is at the other end. How many streets in the world have a castle at one end and a palace at the other? Cant be many. It is very nice but not to the scale of Buckingham Palace - I think it would have beeen more impressive if i had done it before Buckingham palace.

I then went around the the Royal Botanic Gardens, which were beautiful. There was a section dedicated to the Queen mother and with that there was a was a feature wall which had all the organisations she was involved with - I of course found Girls Brigade. There was also a Chinese Garden section which had been started with a gift from the chinese Government. The irony now being that China are now getting cuttings to replant because some plants are now extinct in China.
