We arrived in the small town of Vang Vieng about 5pm. Our guesthouse, (which calls itself a resort, false advertising!) is set on the banks of the Nam Song river. Vang Vieng is known for its tubing, kayaking, spectacular mountains and limestone caves. Also for drunken tourists stumbling through town, and bars playing reruns of friends and family guy.
