Well we're back in Bangkok for the final time, can't say that we are going to miss the place. We are hoping to have a When we arrived it took us ages to find a guest house, in the end we ended up staying in some crummy place for the first 2 days. Poor Carlos didn't have the best of times here, he had a bad cold and had to go to the dentist as part of his tooth came away in Cambodia, he hates the dentist bless him !!!! After 2 days we found a decent place to stay, complete with swimming pool and air con. Here we spent most of the time by the pool sunbathing, we did go out some days, we took a pedalo out on the lake, God this was hot, we felt like diving in. We went shopping and saw the biggest Christmas tree in Thailand, it was weird walking around in the sweltering heat listening to Christmas songs. Here was where the credit card took a battering, we were so sick of slumming it, so we treated ourselved to9 a breakfast buffet at the Hilton Bangkok, cocktails in a cocktail bar and had some suits made for when we gotback to England. We also found the best cafe near our hotel that served the best English food, their jacket potato with cheese and coleslaw was to die for !!! Then it was time for us to say our farewell to the land of "Smiles", don't know who thought of that name !!!
