Well we've arrived in Bangkok after a fab time in Sydney, I'd just quickly like to thank my brother Mark for putting up with us for the 2 weeks that we were there!!
Well Bangkok has certainly been experience from the amount of traffic and pollution to the people trying to rip you off. It's certainly not a place you can relax, you have to be on the ball constantly. The Tuk Tuk drivers are crazy, it's amazing that you get back in one piece and it is not necessarily the place that you asked to go to, they keep trying to take us to see 'Ping Pong Show' we haven't been yet!!!!!
The Thais are currently celebrating their King being in power for the last 60 years, because of this everyone is going around wearing yellow T-Shirts, everywhere you look is just a mass of yellow. We tried to go to the Palace but the day we chose it was closed because of a religious day, typical, hopefully we'll go there when we get back.
We went on a river boat down to China Town, the amount of food stalls was amazing, the smells not so good though!!!! We were walking around here for ages, I swear there was steam coming off our heads!!!
We've been watching the England matches, the support over here has been fanstastic, the Thai's certainly put on a good show at the bar for you running around with giant England Flags and selling England T-Shirts over the bar.
Unfortunately we haven't got many photos of Bangkok as we didn't buy a digital camera until the end of the trip but there be loads to come from the other places.
We are off to Kanchanaburi tomorrow so will be in touch soon.
Love,
Emma & Carlos
