3rd March
'Legs crossed? Check. Straight back? Check. Right hand placed in my left hand? Check. Head slightly tilted? Check. Eyes slightly closed? Check. And now to focus on my breathing' 15 minutes isn't long to just relax, should be a dodal! 'In through my nose and out through my mouth. In and out. In and out' My thoughts interupt this process. I start again focusing on my breathing. Thoughts, ideas, things to do, all these things. 'How long was that? 5 minutes, damn!'
This Meditation milarky isn't going to be as easy I thought!
4th March
Sat crossed legged, determined my second attempt with Meditation will be a better success... Nope!!
Meditating is like a black cloth that you want to dye another colour but to do so you must turn it white first. It seems that my cloth, has many layers of black dye but I will turn it white and then into many beautiful colours. I hope it might help with my sleeping too. I'm really struggling to settle down recently...
The cold night wind, pierces my cheeks. My fingers tingle as I carry my bag, but it doesn't get to me. I'm so pleased with myself tonight! Not only with myself but the children in my class too! Elephant class are around 8 years old (I think!) and it's mayhem. A simple game manages to get out of hand, with balls flying everywhere or children leaving their seats, voices being raised, it's not really an enjoyable lesson!
Tristan passes me on the stairs, his head hung low; He's just finished teaching the first half of what wasn't a good Elephant Class. "Here we go" I sigh, as I walk into Room 3 full of children practising their fighting moves on eachother or just running around. "Okay, 5,4,3,2,1!! They sit down and we begin.
It's strangley quite. The children stay in their chairs as I ask questions. Hands raised instead of the crazy overwhelming cries of answers. We move onto the game. They really get into it, cheering each other on as they try to throw balls into their box and hopefully not into the other teams. They pass the balls back to me nicely, nicely! They do it nicely! I have had a break through with Elephant Class. YES! Fingers, toes, legs, arms, everything is crossed that it stays this way!
