As my best friend and I were visiting Trakai we decided that this day would be perfect to learn something new. We figured out that a good way to do that would be to spend the late morning in Trakai Regional Traditional Craft Centre as we knew how much crafts are important to Trakai heritage. As there were educational programmes available in the Centre we agreed to take a cooking class. My friend and I were glad to gain new knowledge about Tatar, Karaite, and Georgian cuisine and learn how to cook different meals. I will definitely make a homemade dumpling soup again at home - I can still remember its warmth and a rich taste. We were also fascinated by traditional desserts and saw how the buckwheat cake babka was made and baked in an ancient oven!
