The moment my friends and I got to the Hill of Angels we were astonished by the unusual yet stunning scenery as we saw dozens of different angel statues on the hill. The statues were placed on the hill only in 2009 to honor Lithuania's millennium anniversary. Yet at the same time when you are walking by the pathway the place feels so sacred as the statues were standing here for the whole millennium. All the angels have certain symbolic meanings - hope, faith, family, creativity and many more. It seems as people are leaving tiny angels or coins near the statues to wish themselves the things that the angel symbolizes. As you can expect, most miniature angels and coins were left next to the angels of love and health. The Hill of Angels felt like the perfect place to take a walk and recharge - and also, before leaving we did not forget to leave our coins next to the Angel of Friendship!
