It is a sunny Saturday afternoon in Trakai old town and the city is full of people visiting various sights, walking along lazily and enjoying a bright day and pleasant weather. My friends and I had just finished eating lunch at the local restaurant and decided to take a long walk around the old town in order to discover new places. While we were walking and talking we realized that there are so many places in Trakai that we have not yet seen, like Trakai Kenesa - the synagogue of the Karaites religious community. As we were visiting the Kenesa, one of our friends told us more about the Karaites who arrived in Lithuania 600 years ago. We also noticed The Old Post Office Building which instantly attracted us with its vibrant blue color and Orthodox Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary that looked so simple from the outside but had so many exceptional artworks inside. We finished our tour at the Castle of Trakai that always fascinates with its beauty. It was a good day for new discoveries - Trakai is full of different and interesting cultures.
