Hello!

I´ve arrived safely in Quito, and my luggage arrived and Jenny was there at the airport! Was such a relief to see a familiar face after all that travelling alone. We then got a taxi back to the homestay. We have our own room with am en-suite bathroom and another little room that has a desk and a cupboard in it. It´s pretty basic and all the light switches look pretty dodgy, but it´s our own little space which is nice! Running water seems a bit limited too! When i arrived last night the taps weren´t working, then at about 4 am the shower turned itself on! There´s no hot water either so it´s cold showers all the way!!! Everyone here seems really friendly. There are a couple of other guys staying here called Brent and Bill. We have a free salsa lesson with them later run by i-to-i which should be interesting!!!

Quito isn´t a particularly nice city. You can tell it´s quite a poor area and there are taxis everywhere! It´s crazy! The weather´s not amazing either...it was raining last night when I arrived and today it´s ok (pretty cloudy because we´re high up) but not too hot and not too cold so I suppose I can´t really complain.

There are internet cafes everywhere too so I´ll probably be able to keep everyone up to date quite easily...but the connection is pretty slow so I might not be able to upload all my photos until I get back. I´ll try though!

Today Jenny and I are just going to explore Quito before our salsa lesson and buy a mobile that will actually work out here!!! That´s all for now so until my next blog bye bye! I miss you all so much already.
