New Ham.p.shire ... Beautiful state!! Never thought I'd be happy to see Autumn but it makes the trees and landscape look so pretty... Moved over to another one of Josie's family, Jody.. She was the bestest hostess ever!! We had so much fun!! She lives by UNH (University of New Hampshire) so it was a must that we got back into our student spirits!
First evening there, was a chill out evening of watching the latest episode of Dexter, which is my favourite season so far and watching some films before heading for an early night to bed.
Monday was a day of shopping, something which has become a theme of our time in New England. However, this time it wasn't for us, it was for Jody.. She was going as a good witch for Halloween so being the craftsmen we are said we would make Jody a full length green cape for her outfit.. And it was amazingggggg.. Considering opening my own cape making business. Not sure the profit margin, but hey it would be fun right?!
That evening was time to get adventurous again, and head to the university town of Durham.. We went to a bar called Libby's bar and grill and ordered ourselves a pitcher of bud light.. Classy girls! It went down quite nicely, before heading to another bar to beat Josie's ass at pool before going home to watch my favourite film of all time.. The little rascals.. "I got two pickles, I got two pickles, I got two pickles today hey hey"... Turns out college night wasn't until Tuesday, which only gave us an excuse to go out Tuesday night as well..!
Shopping again on Tuesday! Why the hell not?! We took a ride to a small cutsey town called Portsmouth to go dress shopping.. Wasn't too successful as the dresses were either huge or looked like they were from the 1950's but had a lovely day and hot chocolate! The town had some cool little shops, reminded me a little bit of Usk!
College night, Tuesday night. One problem: we had no idea where to go. .. This is where my bright ideas always come in handy.. I decided to join UNH group on Facebook and randomly message some UNH students to find the best place to go... However, no reply to this day.. HOW Rude of them... Turns out we had a cracking night without there help anyway!! ... Vodkas went down as pre drinks and we went to bar called Scorpions were the student population gathered.. Where the $2 vodkas continued long in to the night... Chats with the barmen and being scared to bump into the random people that I had emailed is what the evening consisted off... As well as dancing like loons when everyone else was just happy chatting. Only in the world of Liz & Josie!
Jody picked us up about 1.30.. Me less drunk than Josie.. As every turn in the car meant josie falling and smacking her head... Hilarious for me and Jody.. Not so much for Josie.. Not that she could remember in the morning!
Wednesday was moving day, yet again... To Jody's sister.. Lee's... In Boston.. We said our goodbye's to Jody with a packet of White kitkats as a present.. She knows us too well already... Sad to say goodbye as we've had so much fun at the LaMontage household!!
Boston Babbyyyy we've arrived!
