Vivaaaaaa Las Vegas.. Vivaaaaaaaaaaa!!
Our 3rd state so far.. Nevada aka Party State! On the way we stopped for a quick photo op at Route 66 making the first official stop in Nevada..
Right Las Vegas is hereeee and arriving I've already decided that it's my favourite place so far! The atmosphere was aaaaaamaaaaaaazinggggg! We didn't arrive until about 3 and had to be dressed to impress for 6.. Had a wander around our hotel, Harrahs then went to get dolled up and heels on for the 1st time in 5 weeks- it was a luxury to say the least!
We went to the Las Vegas sign to have our photo taken and me being a giant, 6ft with my heels ,towered above nearly everybody- boys and girls! So had to take my shoes off to make it fair... After, Richie took us on a short city tour & pointed out the hotels, which are ginormous! The Monte Carlo hotel has more rooms than the population of Monte Carlo.. Crazzzzzy & Interesting fact for you there!
Jack told us he got hitched in vegas and wanted to take us to see his photo... But the little w*** was only having us on and has been lying to us for days... We entered the Wedding Chapel waiting to see this photo and Elvis only rocks out singing and dancing to us all- what a surprise!!! He then picked two of the group... Anita & Jay to get "hitched".. Shame it wasn't Me and Jack.. Pahaha... Funniest moment so far!! Got us right in the party mood.. We then headed to Fremont Street where we got yard drinks and danced outside under the worlds biggest screen to Queen!
Theeeeeen came out first party night in Vegas Baby!! Jack took us all to the Cathouse Club in the Luxor Hotel (the pyramid shaped one) an hooked us up with VIP and open vodka bar.. Not too shabby for Lizzy! We partied hard then left the club at 3am. Elena and Myself however, lost Soph, Josie and Sam and got lost in the huge hotel and ended up at some Titanic memorial.. We got fed up of roaming around so decided to play it safe and have a few goes on the slots in hope our friends would return to save our little souls... Which they did... After about an hour! I can officially say I've betted in Vegas.. Yipeeeeee
Another blonde moment has arrived from me when Josie says about a photo.. " they really admire him don't they" .. My reply ".. Who is it? Dick Van Dyke.." ... It was only Frank Sinatra ... Ooooopsa daisy!
Early morning.. 7.30am (out of our own choice) .. After having 4 hours sleep we explored the famous sights and hotels of Vegas City.. MGM, New York New York, Bellagio, The Venician & The Plazzo were all amazing hotels that if you've never been couldn't even imagine how huge they are! My favourite was definitely New York New York.. It had a coyote ugly! After nearly four hours of walking we chilled at Caesars Palace pool to catch some rays!! Loving life to the full..
About 3ish we got a bus to the stratosphere where Soph attracted some freaks.. She tends to do that! The stratosphere is the tallest point in Vegas and has three roller coasters hanging off the edge.. Me, being the adventurous one persuaded Soph and Josie to come on with me.. We got to the top after buying our tickets.. Stood in the queue ready to get on.. I freaked out and pulled out!! Haha .. Leaving petrified Josie who was in tears and Soph & Jay to do it on their own!! Goon will revel in my chickenness, as Im always saying how unscared I am! Serves me right.. But I think that it was fate that I didn't go on, and if I had gone on- something bad would've happened.. Well that's my theory anyway!!
7pm and the evening was about to get messy.. And messy is the only way to describe it.. We went to a variety show, which needs to be done if in Vegas and saw some, well just freaks... A guy juggling ping pong balls out of his mouth.. Slightly different ping pong show to Bangkok shall we say?!?
After, we saw Vegas in the only way possible.. In a limo ride!! Get us hey... A limo took us up and down the strips showing us Vegas at it's best.. We then took the celebrity lifestyle and rocked up at the Palms hotel Sky Bar with the most amazing views of Vegas!! Again, this is one of the top 100 bars.. So yet another top bar crossed of my bucket list! VIP and free drinks yet again.. Man, I loveeeeeee Vegas!!! This is where the night took a turn for the messy.. We partied all night, danced like**** heads and grinded dirty old men.. Dan's pretty sure he got roofied as he can't remember anything! On the way home.. Or so we thought.. Me, Sophie & Josie were invited to be in a music video.. And we agreed much too our stupidness.. We went to the highest part of the hotel in a luxury suite where this band called Connect were filming their music video for their new single and we were in it! They pretty much trashed the place, had a midget in it, fake cocaine, a girl dressed as little red riding hood and a man as a wolf.. You honestly couldn't make this stuff up!! I've never laughed so much in my entire life!! Was hilarious! It was safe to say that I was the most hammered I have ever been.. But enjoyed every second.. Getting home at pretty much 6am with another 10 hour bus journey at 7.45am was not fun!
But now arrived in Bass Lake which feels like it's going to be a detoxing couple of days after the madness of Vegas.. Were staying in little chalets which overlooks the lake, it's so cute!
1st night in Bass Lake was very tame and we were in bed by 11ish. However, I'm preeeeety sure I was haunted and woke up in a massive panic. Was horrible.. Then Elena woke at the other end of her bed sidewards.. Deffo something dodgy going on!
In the morning, we went to Yosemite National Park and did.... nothing! Everybody went biking, hiking or rafting whilst me, the girls and Samuel sat at the pool and sunbathed! Really making the most of our experience.. Well, when we were told that 15 people this year have died of accidents in the park- it was safer for us to do nothing!
In the evening.. We played beer pong down by the lake that was meant to be a tamish night.. Ended up being madness.. Jagerbombs, dirty dancing & matchmaking is what the night turned out to be! Turns out some people don't see Bass Lake coming and can't handle the pressure! Haha... Dan and Suz ended up having a sleepover in our cabin and had to do the walk of shame in the morning! ... Turns out that Bass Lake wasn't such a detox!
Off to San Francisco for a couple of days- update shall be posted!!
In the words of Elvis... I'm all shook up. Uhuh..
