"The west coast has the sunshine and we all get tanned"
Our 3 days in San Francisco have arrived which we are all looking forward to! Arrived mid dayish & Richie took us on a bus cruise of the city.. Really nice looking with lots of sky scrapers. Stopped on our lunch stop at pier 39 with loads of funky shops and a herd of sea lions.. Stupid me though called them sea horses.. How special! Me & Josie decided to get the disposable camera from the midget party in Vegas developed and the photos definitely reminded me of the hangover.. How Soph ended up friends with a midget and me with two condoms in my mouth on photos I'll never know!!
After our lunch stop we headed to the famous golden gate bridge.. Which dan had told me it had been repainted in the last couple of days.. Talk about a gullible day! We drove across the bridge which was cool apart from when we stopped to have photos we couldn't actually see anything as there was so much fog!
Then we made our way to our hotel, which is really nice but in the middle of freaksville, USA.. What a bunch of characters! This place makes Newport look like the poshest city in the world.. There's homeless people everywhere as well as black men, druggies, amputees & strip clubs!
1st evening there we went on a catamaran cruise around the bay- talk of freeeeezing! Deffo the windy city. Then went to the hard rock cafe for cocktails!! Yum yum!
Next morning, we had a little lie in before exploring freaksville, USA. It was a bit dramatic in the morning when we had to faff with buses and we were surrounded by weirdo's, however we managed to get on a bus and went to a place called Haight Ashbury, also known as hippy hill. We spent the day shopping & wandering around here. It reminded me of Notting Hill in London! Also, had a quick peek at Golden Gate Park..
That evening, we had a tour of China Town and seen a fortune cookie factory. My fortune read that my commitments and hard work would be paid off.. And we were told to add in bed to the end! Quite entertaining!
As we hadn't had contact with annnny Irish people since Bangkok- a trip to an Irish pub was necessary.. Me and Saaaaaam now have a new chicken & fish dance.. It rocks.. And as I have told him having no coordination is very exciting because you don't know what's coming next when you dance.. So true!!
Lenna & Me left early as we were getting quite bored.. And good job we did because by the sounds of it, the drama that unfolded wasn't worth hanging around for!
Our last day in San Fran was quite successful.. Up early and out ready to make the most of no wind! We went to the main part of town and me and Elena did some shopping whilst the girls all went on a cable car ride!! They all had lots of fun... :) We met them down at pier 39, which is by far the prettiest place in San Fran! We had a wander and Josie and Elena had their characture drawn- they were both brill... I would never have one.. As my nose & chin would be picked riiiiiight out!!
Before we headed out that evening.. We managed to FaceTime all the girls at Ceri & Ian's wedding and was lovely to see their faces & now miss them all loads!. Elena got a but emotional.. Bless!
Last evening was pretty chilled... Jack took the whole group to the gay district, Castro to show us how diverse it was... I think he was a bit sheltered in his texan youth as he hasn't seen Will Bailey shake his thaaaang ;) .. Drinks in Danielle & Suzie's room continued back at the hotel with lots of giggles and inappropriate questions!
After our trip so far.. Even though had an awesome time in San Fran. It is deffo my least favourite place that I have been so far, with an odd bunch of characters! As soon as me and Soph looked out our hotel room and saw a bin on fire.. And then black men threatening a race war at our group. It was definitely safe to say this place wasn't for me! Good to have the experience though!
On our way to Santa Barbara now for our last night of the trip :( which means plenty of dancing our faces off! Really really sad times and can't believe that Elena & Soph are leaving us! Think I may shed a tear...
Went to the beach in Santa Barbara and it was a really nice beach! Saw wild dolphins in the sea... Another thing crossed off my imaginary list! Our last night was emotional and consisted of lots of adios mother f***ers (this potent drink), fat Asian man with sandals and socks wanting to take my picture, a sexy Bradley Cooper lookalike buying me lots of shots and Josie almost hooking up with stormy norm!!
In the morn..We headed to Hollywood baby! My future husbands home turf.. On Hollywood Boulevard we seen lots of famous names on the walk of fame (think that's what it's called) apart from Simon Cowell's - gutted!! We seen the Mann's chinese theatre, Kodak theatre and a sneak peek at the Hollywood sign.. We then embarked on a city tour that Jack recommended to us... Put it this way.. Jack needs to have a little reconsideration of what is fun- haha!! The tour guide was the most irritating women that has ever walked this earth & I switched off listening when she started describing the history of LA.. I mean we came to Hollywood- give me some celebrity gossip!!...Me and Danielle couldn't stop laughing that she was breathing down the headsets & that's all we could here.. Was like having a dirty phonecall! So as none of us were interested in what she was saying I decided to become the tour guide and give Dan a little tour of his own, which brightened up his tour slightly...
Then it was time to say goodbye to everyone!! :( we sat at Starbucks and said our goodbyes to everyone.. Gonna miss the banter from the Aussie boys and girls.. But looking forward to visiting them all soon.. Then goodbye's to danielle and suzie, which feels like we've known them forever and there a normal part of the girls.. And then to my bestests Elena and little Irvs.. The four of us were in tears and didn't want to leave each other, as we know were not seeing them for another year :( :( so sad!! Im missing them both already.. Had the best time ever! Pretty sure dragon thought we were freaks that we were crying after meeting people after two weeks.. But she didn't know and to be fair.. Who is dragon to call us freaks... Eh Dan & Samuel?! ;) News has already gotten back that you slayed the dragon!!
So so sad our trip is over- had some amazing experiences and met amazing people.. Will deffo miss Stormin' Norman & Dragon the most though.. Haha! But the question must be asked...
What's the f***ing plaaaaaaaaaan?!
........Now the gruesome twosome are out to cause some trouble for everyone's entertainment.. Now on our way to Orange County, Laguna Beach and Newport Beach... Helllloooooo Lauren Conrad and Brody Jenner (yup, slightly obsessed with The Hills)
Catch ya'll in a couple
