Today we got out of bed at 5am and walked down to Charles Bridge to see the sunrise. Unfortaunely there was a little to much cloud to see the sunrise but we could see the nice red sky. It was so nice being on the bridge with not too many peope around, we nearly had the bridge all to ourselves as I think we might be the only crazy people that get up at 5am on there holiday. After we had hung around the bridge for a while we went into the main square, George Square to see the clock again. There werent many people around which was great as in the heat of the day there are thousands of people. There were a few drunk people around, we talked to a drunk mexican who lives in Prague and told us all about the clock. Was an interesting conversation. LOL
We then headed back to the hotel and had breakfast and back to the room for a sleep. Eddie left me sleeping and went for his own walk around Prague, he also had a top that he wanted to take back to the shop as it is too big for him the shop was closed. I then met Eddie in the town centre, it was kind of fun going for a walk by yourself using the map as I did get a little lost as you do in Prague.
Once we met up we had some pizza, it was really good pizza. Remindered me of Itlay, it was yummy.
We then had a look around the shops, had some lunch at an Irish Bar in a nice little court yard. There are just so many restaurants to choose from, they are all over the place. We try to go to a different one everytime.
We then went on a boat cruise along the Vltava River with a guide, it was really nice just to relax and listen and learn about the buildings along the river. The river looks really dirty at the moment because of the heavy rain that they have had over the last couple of weeks. Eddie and I just thought it was always like that.
After the boat cruise we headed back to the hotel for a rest as we had a night tour booked to learn about the Ghosts of Charles Bridge. We met for the tour at 7.45pm, we thought we were going to miss it as we got very lost on the way there which is a very common thing in Prague. The tour was really good. We got to go up the tower at the start of Charles bridge and look out over Prague just before dark, it was so nice I could have stayed up there all night. We then learnt about a couple of the statues on the bridge and rubbed them for good fortune so here is hoping we win the lotto so we can stay on holiday. The tour guide was really good, we had a great time as we were also the only two on the tour.
When the tour ended we found somewhere quite for tea. We had really good meals. I had Roast Duck which was yummy. Eddie had Chicken which he really liked. We are sad as it is our last night in Prague, we both really love Prague.
We had really lovely weather today.
Something I havent talked about is the price of things here. I brought Strawberries for 35cents NZ and washing powder for 8 dollars NZ. The meals that we are eating at restaurants every lunch and dinner are costing around 40 dollars NZ, that is including beer and Pina Colada.
