We have made it in safely to Prague. Our journey started well, we met up with two of Melissas work colleagues who let us into the Koru Club in Wellington so we got to spend two hours hanging around their which was really great. Big thank you to Roman and Bruce.
Our next stop was Auckland International airport. This went ok with one little hitch, Melissa trying to take a bottle of water through customs. We had to stand and drink it in front of the customs people, was quite funny. We both loved the new scanning of the passports, takes up no time at all. We had a 10 hour flight to Singapore on Singapore airlines. This went well, the air hotesses were great. Only thing the food tasted good but upset our tummy, spent a little time in the loo. It passed the time LOL. Singapore airport was amazing. We went to a resturant called the Green Market. The Flight from Signapore to Frankfurt went well. Actually it was a night flight so managed to get a lot of sleep, it was great arrived in Frankfurt feeling quite good.
Finally the last leg to Prague. We arrived a 9am in the morning which worked out really well to get us in the right time zone.We got into our hotel room nearly straight away which was really great. Nice room, comfy bed and nice and clean. We then went site seeing, what a cool place Prague is with all the old buildings that line the streets. It reminded me a little of Venice with the little alley ways. It is very busy in Prague, heaps of tourists. We had lunch in St Georges square, to be honset I think we didnt choose very well here it was nice but quite expensive. We then found the hop on hop off bus tour that we had booked after about three tries, there were just so many to choose from. The tour is ok, our tickets last 48hours so today we just went to the Prague Castle and had a tour around it. Really amazing just so much history to take in. The cathedral was really beautiful, stained glass windows. A must see if you are visiting. After we had stayed on the bus for a while we got off and headed back to the hotel, we took a few side streets which was quite cool. We then had a nap for a few hours. We went out for dinner at a French cafe called Cafe Amandine, would you believe just across from the hotel as we were a little bit dazed and confused when we came out. We were so tired from the travel it had finally caught up with us. Off to bed for us.
