Day 3 started with breakfast at the hotel which is a really good buffet style bacon, eggs, sausages, selection of breads, cereals, sweet cakes and fruit. One of the better hotel breakfasts. That was just for you Emma. lol. We then headed off on our journey for the day.
First stop was the old football ground which has 9 football fields and seats 240000 people. The stadium is very run down as no one wants to invest any money in it. Bit of an eyesore. To get to this football field we had to walk for quite a way up a small hill and through a nice park. Had a few words with eddie about this. lol. We then walked downhill to the castle village and went to the loreta building to see the diamonds. Something for you all to google, there will be a test, lol. It was good to see but was something that we could have passed on. We also had to pay so we could take photos. I nearly left then and there. You pay for everything.
Next we went to a restaurant just by the castle that overlooked the city, it was really nice. Melissa had czech pancakes, yummy. Eddie had chicken and was pleased as he enjoyed it. We then left the castle and walked down and over Charles bridge. Was very impressive, loved it but so many people walking over it, it was so crowded. We then headed to the shops, there are heaps and they are big and a huge amount of choice. A shopping mall with over 200 shops and a couple of streets lined with shops. Very cool, some cheap stuff, some not so cheap stuff. We then headed back to the hotel for a rest but ended up doing some hand washing as to get our clothes washed through the hotel would have cost a bit to much. So the hotel room looks like a laundromat.
We went out to tea to a medievil restaurant which we were quite excited as we thought it was going to be entertainment as well as dinner but no, it was an hour in and out. The food was really good but bit of a let down. We just roamed the streets after that, brought a couple of souvenairs. Eddie brought a czech police hat, not to sure why. We have free wifi at the hotel which is awesome, means we can access it by our phones and the hotel have a computer that we can use in the reception which is awesome.
This is for mum, the shop Sephora is the one we went to in Paris. It has beauty products in it. The weather today has been a little chilly. Thank you for all the messages that we have been receiving, it is so awesome that we can share our experiences so easy.
See you on day 4.
