The day before arriving in Brisbane we were up again at 6:45am to commence the long 8 hour bus journey back to Christchurch airport, which we slept most of the way. Our bus got into the airport at 4:30pm and our flight wasn't until 6:35am the next day! This left us with 14 hours to kill, let's just say there is nothing to do at this airport and no where comfortable to sleep.
The only place people we were allowed to sleep was by the front doors and with the outside temperature at 6oC we were absolutely freezing, although I ( Jess) managed to have a shower and wash my hair at the airport before our flight, which warmed me up nicely!
By the time 4:30am came round we were absolutely exhausted and with no sleep (Charlie a little) we were dying to check in and get on the plane! ( mainly so we had somewhere slightly comfier and warmer to sleep)
After our long journey we had a relaxing day in Brisbane, we went to south bank where there is a man made beach right next to the river, we had a little sunbathe before the clouds covered over and then headed up to the library use the free wifi and computers, it was ridiculously expensive at our hostel!
After having a quick and cheap dinner at the hostel we headed up to bed as we were both absolutely knackered! The next day we were heading up to the koala sanctuary...
