Got up earlish to make the most of the day but it backfired cos I got to Greenwich and everything was still closed!
- National Maritime Museum - All about stories of discovery and endeavour from Britans past. It's the largest Maritime Museum in the world but only interesting if you are into sea kinda stuff.
- Queens House - From about 1638 its full of art an good views down to the river. Not one other person was there and it wasnt very interested.
- Royal Observatory - Built for the purposes of finding longtitude at sea. Home of Greenwich Mean Time and the Prime Meridian of the World. Stood on the 0'0'0'' line. Had a quick look through the museum that went through how longtitude and latitude came about, clockts, time etc. Went to check out the Planetarium but i felt like i was back in year 5 and it was quite boring. The actual Planetarium was closed o school kids until later in the day.
There was an amazing view from the top of the hill beside the observatory that looked out over London. There were heaps of school groups out and about enjoying the sunshine and playing in the park. From Greenwich i caught the Thames Clipper back to London Bridge than home.
Met Meg after work and heaed to a very stylish bar called Jewel to meet up with some friends. Than headed to dinner at a Mexican street food which was i guess like Mexican tapas. Order lots and all share.
??Tubes are not what i expected! I expected some hightech super fast traintram but actually it is just like a train in Brisbane but with no aircon and really hot!!
