Europe in a Backpack
La Rambla!!! I saved some money and took the night train from Interlaken to Barcelona. Not too bad, Got a small bed in a tiny cabin with a family of french people. They were very nice, didn't speak any english, but woke me up when ever I need to know something. I made it to Barcelona around noon and checked into my nice little hostel. The first night was pretty cool. I ended up playing some drinking game with a guy from Sweden until about 11:30 when we got kicked out for being too loud. Then took the tram immediatly to La Rambla. La Rambla is the main party street in Barcelona. Everything happens on this street. Hundreds of young people and a bunch of pakistani guys walking around selling beers for One Euro. It is crazy in Barcelona because everything doesn't start going till 2 am. It only took me one night to get used to it when I came home at 5:30 in the morning. The next day, I woke up feeling great and decided to see the sights. First was the Gaudi house. Gaudi is a crazy architect famous in Barcelona. Next was the Sacred Familia church that is being constructed as I type. They have a bunch of Spire that you can walk about half way up. Then you are stopped by a gate. I found a gate that was a little loose and moved it to the side to walk all the way to the top. Found my fear of heights again. But it was a cool view of the entire city. Next I moved on to a famous Gaudi park to see his museum. It was a long day but so amazing. Next I might take in a bullfight tomorrow and see the Picasso Exhibit while adding some days in the beach in between. I will then go to Pamplona on the 11th. But barcelona is too amazing. Redirect my things from Corfu, because I am moving here. Adios.
