Hi Everyone,

What a week! Its been brilliant. We arrived in Surfers Paradise last Sunday, and ever since then its basically just been a non stop PARTY . Surfers Paradise is definately the Aussie version of Miami. Theres the white sand, the huuuge waves where people are surfing all day, and ofcourse the super fine ladies sunbathing everywhere. ooh la la. Im still coming to turns with it all. Nick and David (Miller) arrived on Tuesday and to date I havent seen these boys without a beer in their hand! Unlike Me and Milsy who have to be watching the dollars more closely, they're still in Holiday mode. And you cant blame them either...what a place!

The weathers been great too this week (well apart from today) so it means the days have mostly been spent at the beach trying to catch some rays! And because theres a few more of us now, we've been taking the footy down for a bit of action. We've been regularly having some international matches...England V ROW. And because the fitness has officially gone, the old long ball game had to be adopted and still we remain unconquered. We are English!! The seas quality too because theres a sand bank about fifty metres out so if you're brave enough you can swim out a fair way to literally stand up on this bank and get up close and personal to the even bigger waves. On this stretch of beach too, there are regular shark sightings. But Me and Miller thought we'd give it a try. It must have taken a good ten minutes (it felt like an hour) because of the current, but when we finally stood on the sand bank the view back to the beach and the town was amazing.

The hostel we have been staying in has been really good too. I mean it even has its own Pool and Hot Tub. Any Good!! What makes this place even better though are the people in our room. It sleeps eight so you've got us four English, Jake and two other Dutch guys (Rob and Tijn) and a Canadian dude (Brent). All top blokes. We've all become good mates and all go out together. Which is rare, because in our experience theres normally at least one or two (usually German) who you dont connect with. So we've been definately been lucky. But because of our closeness, I think the rest of the hostel on most nights have been woken up by us! There always seems to be some complaints flying about the hostel about Room 5. Oh well.

Surfers Paradise at day is just as good by night. As you can imagine! Three times a week the Hostel organises a massive backpacker bar crawl where they take about 100 of us to the best nightspots. Yep...we've been on two of the nights already. The last ones tonight ! These nights are quality. You pay like $25 and this gets you so many free drinks, free entry to four or five bar/clubs, a trip on the "party bus" and a free photo, plus all you drink free "goon" before we go out. On the Wednesday, me and Nick ended up down the beach until 9am with two Danish. All I wanted was my bed, but I was literally being held down to watch the sunrise. It did surprise me though because when I had a little gander over at Nick and his ladyfriend, I did see a few tears in his eyes. Northerners are an emotional bunch! On the Saturday, we were celebrating Milsys 23rd B'day. Happy Birthday son. Shake and Bake! Another one getting ridiculously old! Again had another top night. The shirt was even donned for the first time. Now thats making an effort.

Room 5 went bowling last night too. It was another good night, but after the bowling where as Me and Milsy headed back for some shut eye where do you think Nick and Miller went? You guessed it! They headed to the nearest bar. We're going on a farewell bar crawl tonight with the guys in the room. Well we need to say goodbye properly and then we're heading off towards Brisbane but before that we're venturing to "Wet N Wild". Its suppose to be an amazing waterpark. Its gonna be a tight squeeze in Abi but we'll find a way.

Hi Guys, well thats not all for now! We arrived in Brisbane today and seeing as I've got 12 hours free internet I've gotta tell you about last night. Honestly everyone just went crazy! All us boys did end up on the bar crawl and obviously all got extremely drunk. Chirpsing was also achieved but the real story is when we arrived back to the now famous "Room 5". Myself, Milsy Jnr, Jake and Milsy Snr are all to blame. We finally crashed out at 6am but the noise from our room (I can still hear it I think) resulted in two whole rooms checking out of the hostel because apparantely they were kept awake! By who??  Luckily we were due to check out that morning. Two hours sleep...lovely. But the manager informed us before we left that in six years they had never had to clean such a messy room. And believe me...it was a tip. But what would you expect?? Eight lads together is not the best combo! But maybe when the manager told us this, me and Milsy shouldnt have laughed. Yep you can probably guess that we lost our $10 key deposit. But what a night. Sooo funny and the memories will last forever. And I've emailed you guys about a video we shot that morning.
