Hey Guys and Girls,
I've just arrived at Hervey Bay with the boys, which is the stop over point for the boat to take us to Fraser Island. We head to Fraser tomorrow morning and we've got to be up at 5.30am. Lovely! Maybe not, but all we've heard are good things about the Island so we're all looking forward to it.
This past week we've been staying in Noosa, but on the way up we did have a day out at Australia Zoo. This is the place where the legend that is Steve Irwin made his name. It turned out to be a quality day. We saw Elephants, Tigers, Camels, Kangaroos, Crocodiles, Koalas, and even had a group picture with a ten foot long snake. I didnt want to do it at all, but with Nick in my ear I had to! I'm glad I did now, but I hate the things so I'm not joking when I say that for the next few hours my hands wouldnt stop shaking! I will get him back though and he knows it. But this is no normal zoo...we were lucky enough to be able to feed the elephants, pet the koalas and sit down next to the kangaroos and have a little chat with 'em. They talk for hours though so had to make my excuses! The main show at the Zoo was involving Crocodiles and that was pretty cool to see. They are pure evil though! I have got some great photos and I will upload them once I find a decent computer so you'll have to bear with me.
After the Zoo, we continued heading up the East Coast towards Noosa. The problem we encountered was that being the Easter Hols everywhere was fully booked up! Schoolboy. But luckily after a fair while we stumbled across a decent motel right bang next to a nightclub. Now thats a bit of a touch. And between the five of us, the room was less than $20 each. Although the room did only have the three beds! So I made sure I got in there first and marked my territory on one of the three beasts. Ive got to look after the back now seeing as I am getting older...
Gotta go now as I've run out of time. I will update the journal when I get back from Fraser and get those all important pictures up. Happy Easter everyone.
