Today we left Rene's Vogue magazine house. We have had a really good 2 nights with Rene and Magda and John. Thank you for the company and the hospitality. Rene and Magda were in Australia in Janualy 2014 and we hope to see them again in Australia.

Our Gypsy holiday saw us back with Rob and Jolanda in Vlaadingen. Starting to get into the mood for Tour de France - got my t-shirt and cap from Rob.

So what better way to get in to the mood than go for a cycle ride. We went bikeling (Rob description) - Mariska, myself, Rob and Jolanda, along the river and dikes and wetlands. About 20km in total. Mariska had the electric bike, had not cycled since 2009 and discovered why I like cycling. I had a real Dutch bike, heavy and upright position, something I would not normally ride down Beach Road at 20km/hr in the peloton back at home. Missed my carbon fiber racing bike. Another cyclist on his racing bike overtook me at speed and complimented me on how good I could speak English! Danke wel.......let me show you the uitgang, the undere kant are waitng for you.

Had lunch at Colin's restaurant where he works, it was voted best restaurant in the area for 2014. Then bikeled back home. Mariska is very sore and not sitting well. She is considering cycling at home but only on an electric bike.

Dinner was pancakes - made with the flour from the milling windmill we visited last week at Zuidland.

After dinner Rob treated us to the sacred hymn of his soccer club - Feyenoord.

Tomorrow, Elly and Cate arrive after a delayed plane from Australia meant they missed the Amsterdam connection in Dubai and they had to be put in a hotel till the next available fight. They should arrive about 1pm in Schipol.
