Mixed reviews from breakfast from the Asian buffet breakfast experts. They have all the usuals: fried rice with squid, noodles, prawn porridge etc. Today's specials saw the return of the ever popular potato dauphinois.
David wanted poached eggs so he placed his order and went off to toast 2 slices of bread. The eggs appeared on 2 slices of toast so that made 4 but the eggs were overcooked so basically flat hard boiled eggs. How could something so simple go so wrong? Easy he went western; should have stuck to the noodles.
Following some sunshine and a walk we tried to go out only to be trapped in the hotel by a humdinger of a thunder storm. We really were trapped the hotel drive turned into a lake. We watched from the balcony as successive guests tried to wade out and turned back. 2 hours, a bottle of beer and a bag of crisps later we made it down the drive only to step into a large puddle as soon as we got to the street. Lovely meal in a restaurant with dripping wet tablecloths and finished the night in a bar at the end of Bangla Road where we watched the world go by. Bangla Road is an experience which no doubt we will tell you about in the coming days.
