Neil, Melanie and Joanna ventured to Amalia George leaving at about 8.00 am. Sharon chose not to do this George as apparently not for those afraid of heights and was suffering a bit from the fall the day before and Tanya and Terry unable due to their car being out of action.
Neil, Melanie and Joanna returned about 12.30 pm. Their climb was very rugged, challenging and exhausting. Joanna became scared in a few places. Melanie and Joanna had a swim when they reached the end of the George. The gorge walk was definitely under-rated as a lot of it was actual rock climbing, with some areas extremely dangerous for in-experienced walkers/climbers.
All had lunch then Neil took Terry and Tanya for a drive to Saddleback Ridge and Champagne Gorge as they had missed out the day before. Sharon, Melanie and Joanna relaxed on wooden banana lounges at the river. A hard life for some.
An exhausting day for Melanie and Joanna who were in bed by 6.30 pm.
Another beautiful day weather wise and beautiful clear night – we have not seen so many stars in the sky before. Still waiting for Terry's radiator to arrive from Darwin. Hopefully it has made the plane........
