Today we woke early again. Fishing was on the agenda for today so Neil and Terry got the rods all geared up and we headed to the western beach to fish. Melanie, Joanna, Sharon and Tanya tried their luck as well. Unfortunately no-one was successful but a lot of fun was had trying. The water was so unbelievably warm; around 28c. Tanya kept going out deeper and deeper and ended up in water to nearly her waist. After the tide had come in around 1.30pm we headed back to camp. We all grabbed our swimming towels and walked to the swimmers beach on the other side of the sand dune. Simply amazing; the water was crystal blue, the sand pure white and the water around 28c. Never before have any of us been able to walk into the ocean without feeling the chill; not here. We didn't want to get out of the water but were all turning into prunes and Neil and Terry were getting sunburnt heads – that’s what you get when you don’t have hair. After spending close to an hour in the water it was time to get out and return to our camp ready to prepare for dinner. We saw the most amazing stick insect on a neighbours camper van. We have never seen one that large before and when they put it into the tree, it basically disappeared due to the color of the insect and the tree. It gets dark around 5.30 pm so needed some preparation happening before then. Another night was spent sitting around the camp site then to bed ready for the adventures of tomorrow and Ann arriving from Melbourne.
