It had rained overnight and it looked like it was going to be a very ordinary day with a few spots of rain very early in the morning. We got up at daylight and everybody was going as fast as they could to pack up the trailer so the canvas didn't get too wet. We managed to beat the rain and left Cape Leveque at around 9.00am. It was sad to say goodbye to Cape Leveque as we had all had such a great time there , full of memories that will last a life time. We headed off down the sandy road not knowing what to expect due to the rain overnight but to our surprise the road was excellent; it had been graded so it was a much smoother ride than on the way in. We made our way to Broome which would be home for the next 5 nights. We arrived at Broome around 11.30am and set up our sites. Once set up we ventured into town to stock up on supplies and went general shopping. The weather was very overcast. Melanie, Joanna and Ann went for a walk and we had roast chickens and salads for dinner. We all sat around the campsite but went to bed fairly early as it got a bit cold at night.
