Hi all, this is a our last blog from Thailand as we've off on our travels now for a long journey via Penang, Kuala Lumpa and ending up in Singapore.
Ko Tao was amazing, the nicest of the 3 islands we've been to in terms of a real thai experience. We've spent the last 4 days looking around and getting rained on...a lot! The best though was a snorkelling trip around all the coral hot spots. We're just gutted we didn't have a under water camera.
We started off at shark bay ... guess what we saw here?? however you may be thinking off a great white but they were only 3 ft and more scared of us. We then went on to other coral reefs around the island spotting every kind of fish you can imagine - even nemo fish! (the only fish we could identify!) This was unreal and like nothing we had experienced so far.
The amount of fish was unbeleieveable and Dave thought it was a good idea to feed the fish in the water and nibbling us both in the process, sending Helen off in girly screams!
The tour ended with a tour to a private island which had a sand bar of white sand connecting the two. So gorgeous ... it was just the rain which let us down. A massive thunderstorm engulfed the island whislt we were on it so the only thing we could do was to sit in the sea.
The nightlife is none existent,a far cry from Koh Phangan. But it was just what we needed. So nice to chill of an evening on the beach watching fire dancers.
Next up is a whistle stop tour of Penang.
Speak to you all soon and take care
Dave and Helen xx
p.s we all know how you like your monday morning updates so we've done this just for you!
