Hi all, we made it to paradise! So we got to our accommodation which we managed to wangle a 60% discount and the place was a 5 min walk and the place was a boutique pop art hotel (pictures will show the room!).We have spent the last few days lounging on the beach by day... and by night, well you can guess the rest! The beach is absolutely gorgeous, what you would expect from a tropical island, soft white sand, clear blue seas all draped over with palm trees!Of an evening the beach transforms from sunbeds and beach bars to evening restaurants lined with fairy lights, with a really cool chilled out atmosphere. We have met a few people on the way which has been good to meet up of an evening. The other night we went to a free beach BBQ which then turned into a big beach party which ended with us dancing on sunbeds!On the beach Helen lit a lucky lantern (a buddhist hot air balloon basically!) which flew up into the sky wishing us good luck on our trip!I know you all keep telling us about the weather back home and whilst obviously we can't complain, we had a tropical rain storm hit us yesterday, shown in the photos, however it certainly did not cool things down!Anyway, we are off to Koh Phangnan today for the full moon party next week! we will post as soon as we can!Hope you are all okDave and Helen xx
