Lets take this gig global!!
Yo yo, well after my last update things have just got better and better!! We ended up throwing the budget out the window on the first night and went for an all you can eat Pizza Hut!! I know I know, not the smartest thing to do (especially when Im reading a book called "The Fast Food Nation") but we were REALLY hungry and still had cravings for fast food and ice cream after Asia. It was good tho and I defo got my moneys worth put it that way!! I couldnt move for about 4 hrs afterwards!! The next day we woke up to beautiful sunshine which was awesome and right back into the shorts and t-shirts!! I took a stroll around and checked out Federation Sq which is a new part of town and pretty funky then carried on into some of the parks and gardens (Alexandra and Queen Victoria) with the intention of spending an hr or two chilling and reading up on Melbourne and Oz in general but instead ended up just walking around all the massive, beautiful gardens for hrs. They are so nice and tranquil and what with the weather it was prime kodak moments everywhere!! Got some real good snaps already and at this rate its gonna have to be a new memory card for each CITY not country!! I did eventually chill for a bit but that turned into sunbathing and a powernap for another hour! so still need to catch up on that reading! However, From what I have read and seen, Melbourne is a real beautiful city and the people are soooooo friendly, they really are sound. Its a place where even tho its a city you dont really ever feel swamped or unnoticed, its kinda got a small town vibe to it and altho there doesnt seem like theres a lot to do, once you start to scratch the surface theres actually tons of stuff to see and get stuck into. I think I could be here for a little while!! We are meeting some friends for lunch today then hopefully a Melbounian (!) girl we met in Cambodia tonight. Tomorrow is gonna be a biggun as we are down to do the Neighbours tour which (I'm sad to say!) im quite excited about!! Especially if Izzies there!! So that should be cool. Then on the weekend I am gonna try and get down to Bells beach to check out the Rip Curl Pro surf event (one of the biggest on the WCT) which should be awesome! Its an easter bank holiday over here this weekend so tons of people are heading down there. The only downside is that the weather forecast is set to turn again and theres a strong chance of rain!! b*****, I may have to put those jeans back on! Anyways, I've got lots to see and do so best be off. This internet mallarchy isnt too cheap over here so the updates may become a little less frequent I'm afraid but I'll do my best! ;-) So yeah, loving Melbourne so far and Oz altogether. Catch ya soon Dan
