Spent 2 nights on the beautiful Gold Coast, oh how it's changed since I lived here. There's all new bypass roads and motorways and a tramline!!!! Wow the place has grown so much. We caught up with a friend I haven't seen since my wedding day, and went to dinner at Mikes Kitchen. The meal was huge.... John had ribs that were bigger than his head( Bill you would have loved them) and I had a Farmhouse chicken which was 2 breasts not one.. Had to get a doggy bag to take some home. Anyway that night it fair flogged down with thunder so loud it shook the van. We sprung a leak again and found water coming in from the front of the van.
The next morning we found Bunnings to purchase more ' no more gaps' to fill both the outside and inside the cupboard, with torrential rain and flash flooding forecast, that repair job will be put to the test. Anyway we decided to find the DFO and OMG Harbourtown in Biggera Waters is a town of its own. So many shops and factory outlets, A shop o holics dream. I can see why John's mum and sisters come here all the time, but u need at least a week to get through it all. Exhausted from shopping, which I hate at the best of times, we headed home for lunch then a quick visit to Jupiters. Of course the house won, they always do.
Time to say goodbye to the Gold Coast and continue on. Next stop Palmwoods, inland on the Sunshine Coast, near Nambour. We'll be staying for a week, as there is a lot we would like to see. Stay tuned.
