Few household chores like the washing this morning then out about 11am driving to Brecon an old market town in the Brecon Beacons National Park (about 15 miles)
Well how many times can you pull over for photos in 15 miles because we might have set the record - stunning natural beauty of rolling green paddocks dotted with mainly slate grey or white houses for as far as the eye could see. Crops, grazing animals and some forests.
In Brecon we took ourselves on a town walk down the high street, through the back lanes and along the Monmouthshire / Brecon canal. We booked a small boat for the day Sunday to meander along the canal for the day.
Next drove to Abergavenny another old market town in the national park and got some walking info for our day there tomorrow. Shopped for supplies at Waitrose - the best supermarket I have ever been in for choice and quality and the fresh fruit and veg would leave Coles and Woolworths for dead - tonight dinner at home of pan seared Atlantic Salmon and steamed baby veg with goose fat baked roast potatoes. Our first home cooked meal in ages and so enjoyed it. Of course a pre dinner duty free Moët and some French rose with the salmon did help plus sitting outside on the deck surrounded by beautiful and peaceful countryside and a horse feeding over the fence not 10 metres away. Light till 9.30pm here and weather good enough to stay outside.
Tomorrow Abergavenny and a countryside walk and maybe another home cooked meal on the BBQ from the local butcher.
Absolutely loving Wales!

Cecily It looks just like something from the TV show Escape to the Country. Enjoy!
Alan Exactly in fact we asked the owner if she bought it on Escape to the Country but no. It is an idyllic location
