Rob and Jen bumming round the world for a bit
Rob: In cairns now, been here 3-4 days now after a similar length of time in Hong Kong. The stupid journal thing wouldn't seem to let me put in an individual entry for that but suffice to say, it was worth a visit, amazing skyline which was worth the visit itself, but generally there wasn't enough to do to hang around any longer. If we'd had a bit more cash we could have gone to Disneyland or something, but that's not really the point of the trip, eh. Anyway, when we get to an internet place with more facilities we'll try and whack some of the better photos up. Missed out on photos in the first few days in cairns 'cus we had the wrong sort of batteries for the camera, would have been nice if it said somehere that normal batteries don't work, you need alkaline batteries or something. Maybe i'm just stupid and everyone else knows that.
Anyway, it's as hot as a b**** here and Jen and I both got the s*** burned out of us on the first day, making it difficult to go out in the sun at all, even fully clothed. Recovered now i think, but had to get a cap due to buring the top of my head. i was running around for a whole day covering my head with my arms 'cus it felt like my head was on fire.
Went up to a place called Cape Tribulation yesterday, whoch looks exactly the picture here, which is lucky 'cus the camera was still being gay at that point. We had a little wonder in the Rainforest (i didn't even know there was rainforest in Australia, what a twat!) and saw some bloody huge spiders. Didn't see any snakes though, which is nice. I hate those slivery legless b******s. Also got to see a croc whilst on a river cruise, but again the camera decided to be a gaylord.
Off snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef tomorrow, so i'll let you know how that goes. hopefully be on again in the next couple of days so i can show you all some photo's.
