Alright people, not sure exactly where i got up to with the last update but here goes anyway. Been snorkelling on the great barrier reef, which was solid. Was yae weird seeing it up close, after seeing it on tv so many times. It's pretty much exactly as you would expect. The highlight of our snorkelling trip was the hour or so we spent on a little sand cay in the middle of nowhere, basically, it was a sand island about 10 by 10 meters with nothing else for miles, with loads of shallow water around where the fish swam right beside you. Wicked. We aslo saw a giant bloodt turtle which was nice, just swimming around everyone, pretty amazing. Left Cairns a few days back and had a couple of nights on a place called magnetic island, where our room was more basic than a prsion cell, before moving on to airlie beach. Bit of a party town this one, plenty of bars to go for a swift half, which is nice. Primarily our stop here though is to provide our base for a couple of days sailing around the whitsunday islands, which should be fun. I'll let you know how that all goes when we get back on dry land.
