I have made it in one piece!

Arrived into Thailand 15 mins early thanks to a 'Fairly steady backwind' according to the ozzie captain. Got through immigration and collected my luggage without a hitch :)

Exited the airport to get a true taste of what Bangkok heat is like minus air con, WOWZER. As I approached the taxi rank i was hit in the face by a wall of heat. Hopefully the adjustment period will be minimal.

Made it to the hostel at 9am (Only 7 hours early then). I had hoped to drop my bag off so I could stroll about a bit and kill some time before the proposed 2pm check in. To my delight our room was free when I arrived so I was able to crash out and then enjoy a much overdue cold cold shower. After that I crashed on the bed listened to some music and passed out.

The hostel seems nice its a bit out of the way but the in room air con is much appreciated.

Since then I have attempted a 15 minute stroll around the surrounding area, doing my best to find a store to get a drink & more importantly not get lost. And that is that so far. Will be taxi-ing it back to the airport in about an hour to meet Dave and Laura - Excited :)
