So our latest adventure begins two nights ago whilst Luke and I were wandering around Patpong market in Bangkok, desperately trying to avoid scary little children who try and slash your arms with rose thorns (it bloody hurts!). After deciding we were quite tired with a long day ahead of us, erm, today, all of a sudden who should we bump into but my friend Bradley! No not Bradley from S Club 7, but Bradley from Joy (where I used to work). He was with his friends Richard and Adam and were trying to look for a PingPong show. Slightly worryingly, Luke and I knew exactly where they could go, and you know how it is, you go to show your friends where to see a show and you end up in there talking to the madam about how the hell they learn these, ahem, talents in the first place. Let's just say, they seem very multi-talented; after serenading us with some trumpet music, they wrote a welcome note for Luke and showed us an ingenious storage place for boiled eggs, flowers, nails, and erm, razor blades...
Anyway, after escaping past Mama San the madam, Luke and I returned to our lovely new hotel, passing the charred remains of our earlier accomodation (apparently it was a kitchen fire that started The Towering Inferno - Part II fact fans!), to prepare for our big day ahead of us because yesterday...
- we got the sky train across bangkok
- walked around in the blazing sun with our backpacks looking for the bus station (turned out to be right next to the sky train didn't it)
- enjoyed a 6 hour bus journey to Trat bus station
- got a sukhamvit from Trat bus station to the ferry stop (we shared it with a fat old American and his Thai bride, I would like to guess her name is Poopoomi)
- got the ferry from Trat to Ko Chang (this time we were sat next to German lesbians - vile)
- and then finally we got another sukhamvit to White Sand Beach!
Once there we found our new lodge and settled down for the night (after Luke got sold some spag bol with bugs in it - yummy!)
What happened next? We met the ellies of course! Find out about them all in our next blog - coming soon to an internet near you.
Love from Chris and Luke xxxx
p.s. we went to the beach today and the sea was warm and clean! xxx
