And we move onto the final part of my Christmas Adventure around the Philippines.
BORACAY BABY!
This was fantastic - it was my second time here but the first time was a wash out so I was hoping for a better experience, the weather did not let me down. I can't really say too much about the 4 days I spent here as it was pretty much as you would have expected... Sun, Sea, Sand, Food and quite a bit of drinking.
I was there with a few friends and it was nice to have some people to talk to again! haha. We also did a tour of the Island by boat, and were very lucky to have survived! The water on the other side of the Island from white beach was so rough, we were the only boat that dared venture out that way, haha. It is a good job I don't suffer from sea sickness (unlike someone who I will not mention).
New Years eve itself started out in a nice bar we had found the previous night which had a live band outside. We stocked up on some greasy food then got down to the drinking! Rum and coke was the drink of choice, and they were so strong. We saw NY in at this place whilst on the beach with thousands of people where we saw a firework display starting at one end of the beach, and finishing at another.
I am so glad I did this trip and ended here for NY as I will never experience anything like this again, though I was thinking about Ste (how cheesy). Following this bar we moved onto a club based on a beach called Epic and had a few drinks and some dancing here. One of the girls even managed to get in free just by walking past the bouncers, unfortunately it didnt work for me, haha.
The evening ended in a very blurred bar called Jungle bar, and I have to admit I do not remember a lot of this apart from 2 things. 1) I somehow broke a branch off a tree that formed part of the stage and was dancing around with it, and 2) I ate a lot of Kebab!
So you would have expected we would all be extremely hungover on NYD, not so! I could tell I had been drinking, but due to my strategic water intake I was ok, and felt a lot better after the greasy burger and chips! yummy.
The holiday ended with a sophisticated meal and an exceptionally good restaurant called Alchemy, prices were so low but the food was that of a top quality London resto, I would recommend this place to anyone!
So that is pretty much i for the week away, and then back to the grind, thougn looking forward to returning back to the UK soon, there might be a few more trips planned in the NY though, I will keep you posted....
Love to you all
Over and Out xx
